Mike and I had a wonderful day shooting in the park. Finally, some more testosterone in my portfolio! We decided to just have fun and take some serious AND fun photos so we could get a wide variety of interesting shots. I recently acquired Photoshop, so I took this opportunity to play with different coloring as well as black and white photos and I LOVE the way these came out. Much love and thanks to J. Mike! My new website!

I just wanted to announce the launch of my new website! It was created by a good friend of mine, Tim Xu [www.timxu.com], and I'm super excited about it! He did a really amazing job, so definitely check it out!

I recently had the opportunity to shoot with an old friend who needed some photos for his school newspaper. Keep an eye out for him, he's being featured for his beautiful poetry! We had a lot of fun shooting, and I was thrilled to learn it was his first time ever in Central Park, so we had to take some tourist photos as well. From January 13th, 2010.

The Headscarf Series

This series is still a work in progress. It's inspired by a shoot I saw on America's Next Top Model, and Tyra Banks posted on her website that fans can recreate the shoot and submit their photos, and she will post the best ones on the site. I began this shoot for that purpose, but am so happy with the way the photos came out that I would like to continue adding to this series. If anyone is interested in being involved, it's a free shoot!

Julie and I (and our family) have known Emily (and her family) since she was born. Julie and Emily are about a year apart and they grew up playing together. Julie has always called Emily her best friend, and we were very upset when the Larkins announced they were moving out of Jersey and to North Carolina. This was a pseudo impromptu shoot following a photography lesson I took with the incredibly talented Chris String [www.chrisstring.com]. I have to give credit to him for teaching me how to really use my camera. Anyway, I had just finished my photography lesson with Chris in New Brunswick, on the Rutgers campus.
